九時過ぎに研究室に着き、午前中は以下の２冊を読む。

J. A. van Ruler, The Crisis of Causality: Voetius and Descartes on God, Nature and Change (Brill, 1995).
Dan Garber, Descartes' Metaphysical Physics (U. Chicago, 1992).

CassirerのThe Philosophy of the Enlightenmentまでは手が回らず。

昼からは、Marijn de KroonのWe Believe in God and in Christ. Not in the Churchの索引作り。なんとか終了。

五時から六時までジムに行き、Democracy Nowで話題のAIGについての報道をきく。夜は、ブラウン先生のゼミの課題である、John R. CurranのPagan City and Christian Capital: Rome in the Fourth Century (Claredon, 2000)を読む。
